Roses are red. And they mean plenty of things
The beautiful rose has been attributed to many human emotions and events. It has been used to express affection, love and the value of a friendship. In ancient times, it has been symbols for love, beauty and even life. Almost every culture and religion in the world has a rose meaning even great works of art and literature have them.
In religion, early Christians made the five petals of the rose a representation of the five wounds of Jesus. But many church officials in olden times find to be part of paganism and a symbol of Roman excesses.
