A Brief History Of Labradorite Jewels

According to the chemical composition, it belongs to the category of plagioclase feldspar that is rich in sodium. It is most widely recognized for its feature of “labradorescence”, i.e. the flash of different colors of light. Labradorite derives its name from Labrador province in Canada, where this dazzling stone was first found. It is also believed that he was dazzled by the brilliance of a rainbow of color after he hit the stone with his spear. It was also believed that if worn in a neckpiece, the stone would bring excellent luck in both love and health.
Labradorite is considered to be a “Gem of Winter”.
