i just finally got a pentacle and i am worried about wearing it to work. i am a witch so i want one to remind me of the wiccan reed at all times and to keep a symbol of my faith with me. one of my friends wear theirs to work and people assume she is a satanist or evil or something.
should i keep mine under my shirt of let it show? also, i bought fingerless gloves w/ a hearogram on them and i am wondering if those would likely be allowed at work?
also, not formal job.. uniform is jeans and a t-shirt. so that is not a worry. i am just worried about offending customers as most of them don't know that about me. will it affect the way they feel toward me? does that matter? i hide it at home cause my mom would destroy it.
for the person who said you shouldn't offend... hello people can wear crosses. isn't it the same principal?
You'll just have to try both ways and see how you feel, there should be no reason why you should have to hide your beliefs and it's an opportunity to educate people - if they ask.
But unfortunately a lot of ignorance exists so you may go back to keeping it to yourself just to avoid that ignorance.
